My name is Susan Prior. I work as a freelance writer and editor on beautiful Norfolk Island. My work spans everything from writing children's books to researched articles, from editing fiction to complex and involved political manuscripts.

This site grew out of a love for my daily swims and an increasing fascination with the lives of the fish and other critters that I witness as I go about it. I received an underwater camera for Christmas 2019, so these pages are, at the time of this site's launch, less than ten months in the making.

This resource is really for my grandson, Seb. Because one day, my hope is that all this will still be here for him to enjoy and wonder at as well.

I would very much like to thank a small group of fellow enthusiasts living here on Norfolk Island. Throughout the year, we have shared photographs and identifications in a private Facebook group. It has been a fantastic learning experience.
